Encounter Form Observation Analyzer (EF OBS Analyzer)

When you are designing encounter forms, it is important to know what observation terms are used in other forms. When you are building lab cross reference files, it is also important to know what observation terms are utilized by the encounter forms you use.

The Observation Analyzer Enterprise Edition will allow you to configure multiple EMR databases. You will analyze each data base and store the results in an SQL Server database. This allows you to manage the clinical content across multiple EMR databases.

The Obs Analyzer will produce three Excel spreadsheets to:

  1. List all observation ids used by all the encounter forms on the system.
  2. Display each encounter form name accompanied by a list of all the observation ids included on that form.
  3. List each observation id with a list of all the form names on which it is referenced.
  4. Show all observations actually used in your database

Using these spreadsheets, you can design your forms and cross reference files with confidence, knowing you are using a consistent set of observations across all of your forms and labs.
