Chart Summaries

When you are planning for contingencies and unexpected EMR down time, you can store a chart summary for all patients who have appointments in the next few days. The chart summaries are stored on a computer other than the EMR server and can be printed in case of EMR unavailability. Each day when the summaries are saved, the previous day’s summaries are deleted, minimizing the amount of disk space required for this contingency plan.
